The Flat at Noel Road
This area of the
installation represented the years spent at Noel Road. The macaroni cheese a
reference to the simple food that Joe and Kenneth lived on. I got original
editions of the books which Joe doctored and did my own versions which were not
intended to replicate but evoke the spirit of what he and Kenneth did. The
typewriter held a list of the words which Joe spent hours experimenting with.
The desk was collaged as the walls were. There was an audio clip playing
through headphones from an interview I did with Marilyn Orton relating to this
time and the early beginnings map.
