Master Harold
was playing in rep with To Kill A Mockingbird so both sets used the same raked
stage platform which jutted into the audience. The turnaround was simple, the
flats of the tea room flew in and a different floor surface was laid. The set
operated as a functional tearoom, the clock ticked in real time and rain poured
down the windows throughout the play. You can see the tree from Mockingbird
through the window.
