(formally entitled “Ortonesque”)
9th-11th July
2007 The Guildhall, Guildhall Lane,
Leicester
I was funded
by the Arts Council to research and develop a theatrical, interactive cross art
form installation piece, which explored and celebrated the life and work of Joe
Orton. The results of this period of development were displayed at the prison
cells in Leicester’s Guildhall.
Through the interactive nature of the design and the
multi-disciplinary nature of the work, including the use of sound and lighting,
the audience were invited to touch, listen and look to discover more about
Leicester’s most famous playwright.
